About the Texas Leos

Multiple District 2, the State of Texas, currently has a registered 146 Leo clubs around the state.  We have a total membership of 2200+ registered Leo’s in the Lion PortaI!

Who are the Leos?

Leo Club Objective
To provide the youth of the world with an opportunity for development and contribution, individually and collectively, as responsible members of the local, national and international community.Leo Club Motto

Leo Club Leadership
The success of each Leo club depends on the dedication of its leaders. By accepting an officer position, youth have an opportunity to develop leadership qualities and skills. Leo club officers lead club membership development efforts and plan service activities.Leo leaders should demonstrate integrity, possess the ability to communicate and inspire, and recognize the individual needs and interests of club members.

Leo Club Officer Roles
Leo Club President manage club and board meetings, advise other club officers concerning their responsibilities and develop club members into a successful team.
Leo Club Vice President(s) assists the president and assume the president’s duties if he or she cannot complete the term.
Leo Club Secretary maintain records of officers, committee appointments, members, attendance and service activities and update club information, membership records and service activity reports in MyLCI.
Leo Club Treasurer receive and deposit all club money, disburse club funds when authorized by the Leo club board of directors and provide a monthly financial statement to the Leo club board of directors.
Leo Club Board of Directors consists of the Leo club president, vice president, secretary, treasurer and three elected Leo club members. This group also executes the business of the club, including the authorization of all club expenses.

District / Multiple District Leadership
Leos interested in further developing leadership skills have the opportunity to serve as district and multiple district officers. Leos in these roles will serve as a source of inspiration and guidance, while strengthening Leo club membership within their districts and multiple districts.

Leo district and multiple district presidents and vice presidents are elected annually. Upon election, Leo district and multiple district presidents appoint secretaries and treasurers.

Leo district and multiple district officers provide leadership training seminars for Leos, promote unified service activities and/or fundraising campaigns and encourage active involvement in the Leo Club Program.
